Better?

Bryanna Raymond

You deserve better she told me

Do I?  I asked

I think he’s the one

No he’s not

Are you sure?

He treats me like a someone

He helps me when I’m down

He smiles to make my sun rise

He cares

He loves me

He would hold me if he could

What’s better?

Who could be better?

He’s my choice

He may deserve better

But to me he’s the best

So keep off

But Monday Never Came

I was going to quit on Monday,

But Monday never came.

Tuesday was always two for one,

So everyone stayed ‘til close.

Wednesday ladies drank for free.

We watched them at the bars,

Then took them wasted to our cars.

Thursday there were games to play,

Trivia, and free rounds paid.

Friday we drank ‘til dawn,

No work to face on early morn.

Saturday we woke up late,

Dressed for cocktails, dinner, dates.

Sunday we had brunch and champagne

Toasts,

Evening beer and a movie at the most.

Tuesday nights were two for one,

Wednesday ladies drank for free,

Thursday game night came again.

Friday we drank ‘til early dawn

Saturday we woke up late,

Sunday, beer and movie, mate.

On and on, and on it went,

Lost it seemed forever.

in a game without a name.

I was going to quit on Monday,

But Monday never came.
